French Sunday Lunch in Sydney, Riviera Style

Sunday lunch at Ananas now takes its cue from the south of France. From November 8th, the French restaurant in The Rocks hosts Riviera Sundays every week from 12pm to 3pm, with a $99 set menu, live DJs and Provence rosé. It’s a long lunch in the Sydney CBD made for friends and family, with good food, good music and the whole afternoon to enjoy it.

Grilled Octopus, Roast Chicken and a Tart From Saint-Tropez

The set menu moves through French food made for a long afternoon. Lunch opens with flatbread, peach salad and grilled octopus. Sardinian pasta with pipis comes next, followed by roast chicken and French fries. To close, a cream-filled brioche tart from Saint-Tropez is served tableside with a trio of sorbets.

Provence Rosé and a DJ Through the Afternoon

Ananas also offers a two-hour beverage package for $59 per person, pouring Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé, house red, white and sparkling wines, and beer. Live DJs play through the afternoon, keeping the energy up from the first glass to the last plate. The dining room is set up for staying a while, with plush banquettes and tables. Settle in from midday and let lunch unfold over the afternoon, one course at a time.

Walk Down to the Harbour

Once lunch wraps at 3pm, take a slow walk down to the water. The foreshore path winds past Campbell’s Cove to Circular Quay, with the Harbour Bridge behind you and the Opera House ahead.
