Munich Lager vs Dunkel

The Bavarian

Munich Lager is bright gold, gently malty and easy on the hops. Crisp, clean and refreshing, it’s the classic beer-hall pour and an easy match for a golden crumbed schnitzel.

Dunkel takes things in a darker direction. Its name is German for “dark”, and its colour ranges from amber to deep reddish-brown. The flavour is richer too, with smooth malt and notes of toasted bread and caramel.

That extra depth makes Dunkel a natural pairing for the Jäger Schnitzel: crumbed chicken served with coleslaw and mushroom sauce. The malt complements the richness of the sauce while letting the chicken hold its own.

Two classic German beers, each with a schnitzel to match. Book a table.

The Bavarian practises the responsible service of alcohol. Drink responsibly.
