Inside the New Rockpool Bar & Grill Perth

Perth has a new restaurant to book from Wednesday October 28th, and it’s one the city already knows. Rockpool Bar & Grill Perth reopens at Crown Perth with a new bar, a new private dining room and a redesigned dining room.

For 15 years, Perth has come here for birthdays, anniversaries and milestones. Urban List summed it up as “wood-fired steaks and special-occasion dinners”. Those nights now get a new room.

The recent major refurbishment is the biggest change to the interior since the restaurant opened in 2011, and the most extensive any Rockpool has had since the brand went national.

A new welcome at the end of the walkway

The signature entrance walkway is still the way in. What waits at the end of it has changed. A new host desk in brass, stone and timber now greets guests, alongside feature wine displays and layered lighting.

A bar with room to stay

The bar is the biggest change of all. It has been completely redesigned and now seats 41, up from 24.

Leather stools line a bar clad in black marble and topped with natural titanium granite. With 17 more seats, the bar is now somewhere to stay, before dinner and after it.

Green marble, warm timber and tan leather

Behind the new look is SGB Group, the team that also delivered Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney’s recent update. In Perth, the dining room now pairs green marble with warm timber and tan leather, set off by custom joinery, bespoke wine cabinetry and new furniture.

The open kitchen and wood-fired grill stay at the centre of the room, with the cooking on show.

A third private dining room

Both existing private dining rooms have been refreshed, and a third now joins them. Same Rockpool service, with the room to yourselves. Enquire about private dining.

The kitchen Perth already knows

Executive Chef Brendan Owens continues to lead the kitchen. The menu stays built around Western Australian seafood, seasonal produce and beef dry-aged in house.

The room is new. The standard is the same one Rockpool Bar & Grill holds in all three cities.
